Betty Wolfram passed away on Aug 22, 2019.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home fron 12:00-7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Committal services will be held at the old Warda Holy Cross cemetary Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. A memorial service will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Tegtmeier and Rev. David Mumm officiating.
Mrs. Betty Jean (Barnhill) Wolfram, 89, of Warda, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at home while surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Wolfram was born on December 6, 1929 in Oakdale, California, the daughter of Samuel Joseph and Olga (Hansen) Barnhill. On January 7, 1951, she married Rev. Marcus W. Wolfram at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Valley Home, California. She was an organist and choir director for more than 36 years in various Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) churches where Rev. Wolfram served.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel & Olga (Hansen) Barnhill; her husband of 41 years, Rev. Marcus W. Wolfram; her parents-in-law, Rev. Walter and Clara (Wehking) Wolfram; two sisters, Lois (Barnhill) Hofmann and Sherry (Barnhill) Rupe; sister-in-law, Ruth (Wolfram) Buerger; her brothers-in-law Rev. James T. Wolfram, Hilmar Buerger, and Erich Hofmann; and son-in-law, Carey W. Presley.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, Rebecca (Wolfram) Presley of Madisonville, Texas, Rachel (Wolfram) McDonald and husband David of Warda, Texas, and Mark Wolfram and wife Debbie (Schramm) of Lake George, Colorado; three grandchildren, Sherrie A. Halpain, Daylyn Presley, and Eric Falke; three great-grandchildren, Aidan D. Halpain, Elle Falke, and Blake Falke; one brother, Wallace J. Barnhill and wife Estelle of Oakdale, California; and sister-in-law, Darlene Wolfram of Spirit Lake, Iowa.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Faith Lutheran High School or a charity of one’s choice.
