Bettie K. Stavinoha, age 97, of Ammannsville, passed away on July 15, 2011.
Bettie was born on April 20, 1914, at Hostyn to Robert F. Kallus and Cecilia Janda Kallus. She married Edmund Stavinoha on August 1, 1933. She was a housewife.
Bettie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ammansville, the Evening Home Demonstration Club, the KJT and KJZT and the Altar Society.
Bettie is survived by two daughters; Cecilia Weyand and husband Lester and Betty Wagner and husband Mel; four sons, Thomas Stavinoha and wife Mildred, Felix Stavinoha and wife Gladys, Pete Stavinoha and wife Glenda and Leroy Stavinoha and wife Patsy;Bernice Stavinoha, one step-son, Edmund Stavinoha, Jr.; two brothers, Lawrence Kallus and wife Bernice and Robert Kallus and wife Lillian; four sisters; Sister Andrea, Sister Josephine, Sister Agnes and Sister Virginia Kallus; 38 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Sister Angelica Kallus,and Marcy Pircher snd husband Reinhold, Cecilia and husband Edwin Kruppa, brother Cyrill Kallus and wife Liola, Jerome and Mary Stavinoha, children, Florian Stavinoha and Fran and Catherine Stavinoha; step-children, Sidney Stavinoha and wife Mary and Allen Stavinoha and wife Helen, and Benny and Charlie Stavinoha and Teresa Stavinoha; four grandchildren, Cecil Stavinoha, Keith Wagner, Gary Weyand and Debbie Stavinoha and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday July 16, 2011, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday July 17, 2011, at 2:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ammannsville. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Hostyn.
