Bessie Havelka, age 94 of Hostyn, went to her heavenly home on September 29, 2012.
Bessie was born on December 12, 1917 in Cistern, Texas to Charles Vinklarek and Zophie Mares Vinklarek. She was a faithful member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn, a member of KJZT #23 and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Bessie enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing dominoes with family and friends. She loved to play bingo at church picnics.
She married Anton Havelka on October 9, 1950 in Cistern, Texas.
This union was blessed with six children; Bernadette Muras & husband Stephen of Austin, Anthony Havelka of La Grange, Mary Jane Kahanek & husband Bil of McDade, Texas, Jake Havelka(deceased) , Joseph Havelka and Nick Havelka and wife Cindy of La Grange.
She is also survived by her sisters; Della Bordovsky of Cistern, Dorothy Vinklarek of Cistern, Florence Vinklarek of Austin, and CoraAnn Meuth of Paige, Texas; brothers; Alvin Vinklarek and Eugene Vinklarek of Cistern. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,Anton; a son, Jake; three sisters; Lillian Vinklarek, Lucille Supak and Wilma Surman; two brothers, Ernest Vinklarek and Edward Vinklarek.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday October 2, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home and from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn, Texas. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday October 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn.
Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Hostyn.
