Funeral Mass for Agnes Veronica Miller, 84, of Round Top, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 10:00A.M., at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Texas. A visitation will be held Monday March 3, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange with a Rosary starting at 7:00 P.M. An interment will be held at the Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery in Atchison, Kansas at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2014.
Agnes was born October 26, 1929 in Stanberry, Gentry County, Missouri as the third child to Anthony John and Honora Ella Handley Steinhauser. She married Leo Edwin Miller, son of Peter Nicholas and Clara Magdaline Shalz Miller on August 16, 1956 in Parnell, Nodaway County, Missouri.
Agnes attended Stanberry High School in Stanberry, Missouri and graduated from Sheiden High School in Sheiden, Missouri in 1947. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State College in 1953. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Texas, and she enjoyed wood art and painting.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Two Brothers, Thomas William Steinhauser and Anthony John Steinhauser Jr., and two grandchildren Zane Alan Miller and Tana Justine Gleghorn.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leo Miller of Round Top, 3 sons; Leo Miller Jr. of Centerview, Missouri, Todd Miller, and his wife Vicki of Carrolton, Texas, and Brian Miller and his wife Shelly of Brenham, Texas. 3 Daughters; Regina Gleghorn and her husband, Steve of West Plains, Missouri, Veronica Miller of Round Top, Texas and Magdaline Thuesen and her husband, Kenneth of Bellville, Texas. Two Sisters; Mary Margaret Martin of Tuscon, Arizona and Lucille Vonnahme of Red Oak, Iowa. Eleven grandchildren and Three Great, Grandchildren.
