Agnes Veronica (Muras) Antosh was born on January 20, 1928, in Hostyn, Texas, the daughter of Joseph A. Muras and Betty (Lidiak) Muras. She married Eugene E. Antosh on August 21, 1950. She has been a lifetime resident of La Grange and a homemaker her entire life. She enjoyed baking, sewing, farming and gardening. She also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her grandchildren and family. Agnes was a parishioner of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn and a member of the K.J.Z.T.
Agnes passed away on March 1, 2010 at St. Marks Hospital in La Grange, Texas, at the age of 82 years.
Survivors include: three Sons: Eugene J. Antosh and wife Diane of Weimar, Donald Antosh and wife Dorothy of Weimar, Gary Antosh and wife Shirley of La Grange; one Daughter: JoAnn Friemel and husband Royce of La Grange. Nine grandchildren: Dr. Deeanna Antosh & husband Darren, Michelle Antosh & fiancée PFC William Gilliam, Jr., Michael Antosh & wife Riley, Steven Antosh & fiancée Kendall Plattner, Stuart Antosh, Adam Antosh, Stephanie Antosh, Matthew Kessel & wife Becky, Shannon Teinert & husband Kris; great-grandchildren: Emma Clark, Claire Antosh, Madeline Antosh, Kaiden Lange; brothers: Joseph C. Muras and Daniel Muras, both of La Grange; sisters and brothers-in-law: Rose and Melroy Berger of La Grange, Bernadette and Al Schlottman of Kerrville; sisters-in-law: Gladys Muras of Dubina and Irene and Joe Davis of Cedar Park; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Eugene E. Antosh, her parents: Joseph A. and Betty (Lidiak) Muras; two brothers: John Muras and Method (Matt) Muras; two sisters-in-law: Sharon(Sherry) Muras and Georgia Muras; brother-in-law and sister in-law: Jerome and Geneva Antosh.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 3, 2010, from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 9:30 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery Fund in Hostyn and St. Ann’s Altar Society of Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Plum Texas.
